Kailash Mansarovar Yatra ( 14 Days / 13 Nights)

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra - The Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage is one of the most demanding and challenging of treks for pilgrims anywhere in the world. It charts a route through the highest mountains in the world, opening up unending stretches of barren land, lush green valleys, snow capped peaks and pristine blue lakes.

Mount Kailash, at 22, 027 ft is the abode of Lord Shiva, and the source of the Brahmaputra, Indus, Sutlej and Karnali. Lake Manasarovar, created by Lord Brahma at the behest of his 12 pre-Vedic rishi sons is believed to wash away the sins of anyone who takes a dip into its divine waters.Similarly, a 'parikrama' or circuit around Mt. Kailash promises to free the worshipper from the cycles of birth and death.

The arduous trek to Mount Kailash requires months of mental preparation and physical conditioning before the trip. The pilgrimage can be undertaken only between June and September when the weather conditions are somewhat favourable.

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

After arriving in Kathmandu, meet our representative who’ll guide you to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel . Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Katmandu

In the morning after breakfast, set out for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city. Also attend the Budha Nikanth Darshan and Pashupatinath temple Darshan. After Darshan  return back to your hotel for packing and the further program briefing.

Day 3 : Katmandu - Nyalam

In the morning after breakfast, get transported to China border. Upon reaching the China border , our representatives would complete the custom and check-in formalities before entering Tibet. Post Lunch, start for Nyalam –the small Tibetan Town by Land Crusier.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 : Nyalam

On the 4th day of the trip full day rest is advised for high altitude acclimatization. Later in the evening take a leisurely walk to explore the place for its mesmerizing and alluring scenic beauty. Overnight in Nyalam.

Day 5: Nyalam – Dongba

Post breakfast, start with the longest driving day. While driving towards Nyalam drive past beautiful lakes, Peku-tso, Labug-La and nomads chasing thousands of sheep and yaks. In the afternoon you will cross River Brahmaputra before reaching Dongba. Overnight stay at Dongba.

Day 6: Dongba - Mansarovar

In the morning after breakfast start for 7 hours long drive to Mansarovar. Upon reaching Mansarovar attend the Hawan and Pooja at the auspicious Mansarovar lake. On the first day of stay at Mansarovar Lake. Enjoy your stay in the tents at the bank of the lake.  After breakfast drive from Dongba to Mansarovar about 07:00 hours. Overnight stay in tent or guesthouse.

Day 7: Mansarovar - Darchen           

 On the 7th day enjoy the Parikarma of Mansarovar by Land Cruiser. Feel enchanted by taking a holy dip  in Manasarovar Lake and do Pooja of Lord Shiva. The rest of the day is spent attending other spiritual activities. Later start driving towards Darchen and enjoy an overnight stay there.

Day 8: Darchen - Diraphuk

This is the first day of Kailash Parikrama. We should start our journey after breakfast as early as possible. This day we have to walk continuously for about 6 to 7 hours. Yak will carry all our goods and equipment. Overnight stay at Diraphuk in a tent.

Day 9: Diraphuk - Zhulthulphuk

This day is very sensitive and we have to pass Dolma-La Pass. This is the first day stay at the bank of the Manasarovar Lake Mt. above sea level. The weather is unpredictable in Doma-la Pass and at any time snowstorm can fall. So we try to start our journey as early as possible. En route we can have Darshan of Gaurikund but it is very difficult to go and touch. Overnight stay on route to Zhulthulphuk in a tent.

Day 10: Zhulthulphuk - Mansarovar

On the 10th day of the tour have Darshan on east face of Kailash. Later in the day trek to Kuber Kund the beautiful lake . Moving further continue trek to Zhulthul park. Then we continue to trek 7 km  for  down to Darchen and drive to Mansarovar. At Mansarovar fill up a spiritual goal in a bottle that is kept in every home and used in various religious practices. Latter part of the day we would start back for Kathmandu.

Day 11: Mansarovar - Dongba/Saga

 We will leave Mansarovar today to reach Dongba/Saga.sss

Day 12: Dongba/Saga - Nyalam

On the 12th day start for Nyalam, that would mark your last day stay in Tibet region.

Day 13: Nyalam - Katmandu

On completion of custom formalities you will be picked by the Nepal side. Continue your drive towards Kathmandu that will take another 5 hours before you reach Kathmandu. Upon reaching check-in at the hotel. The night is spent at the hotel .

Day 14: Departure

In the morning post breakfast, after checkout you will be deported to the airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
