One of the most important Hindu pilgrimage circuits, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath together constitute the Charm Dham Yatra. Yamunotri is home to the temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and the holy springs at Jankichatti. Gangotri houses the revered shrine of Gangotri and is believed to be the spot where Ganga descended on earth. Kedarnath houses the shrine of Sri Kedarnathji, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Badrinath is home to Sri Badrinathji Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. For those undertaking this Char Dham Yatra Packages, the Chardham must be visited from left to right - commencing with Yamunotri, proceeding to Gangotri, Kedarnath and culminating at Badrinath.

DAY 01: Delhi - Haridwar
Meet and assist on arrival at Delhi (Airport/Railway Station). Later proceed to Haridwar and check into your hotel on arrival. Rest of the day free at leisure. In the evening, visit Har-ki-Pauri to witness the fascinating 'Ganga Aarti'. Overnight in Haridwar.

DAY 02: Haridwar (Sightseeing)
After a leisurely breakfast proceed to Har-ki-Pauri to bathe in the revered Ganges. Later proceed by ropeway trolley to visit the Mansa Devi Temple perched on top of Bilwa Parbat. Mansa Devi is one of the major Siddhapeeths in India. In fact, it is the apex of the Sidhpeeth triangle, formed by the trio of Mansa Devi, Maya Devi and Chandi Devi. This auspicious temple is known to have the power of fulfilling all the wishes of the devotees.

Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in Haridwar.

DAY 03: Haridwar - Barkot
This morning depart for Barkot, located on the foot of Yamunotri (180 kms - 6 to 7 hrs)). En route stop for a couple of hours at Kempty Falls near Mussorie. On arrival at Barkot, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the trek tof Yamunotri the next day. Overnight in Barkot.

DAY 04: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot
After breakfast, depart for Hanumanchatti (40 kms), then 8 kms by local jeeps till Janki Chatti. Here you will begin your trek to Yamunotri (5 kms trek). You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek. The trek passes through lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs. Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna, the twin sister of Yama, the Lord of Death. Anyone who bathes in her waters is said to be spared a tortuous death. Yamuna is also the daughter of Surya the Sun. After performing pooja, take holy dip in Yamuna river and take the same route back to Barkot. Overnight at Barkot.

DAY 05: Barkot - Uttarkashi
In the morning, drive (85 kms - 3 hrs journey) to reach Uttarkashi. Check into the hotel. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi and is famous for its historical monuments, Temples & Ashrams. In the evening, Visit the famous Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

DAY 06: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi
Early morning drive to Gangotri. Nestled in the magnificent Garhwal himalayas, Gangotri is set at an altitude of 3048 mts. The river Ganges is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Visit the Gangotri Temple. The 18th century's temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva. Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite. Late afternoon drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight in Uttarkashi.

DAY 07: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi

After early breakfast proceed to Guptkashi (210 km - 10 hr) en route passing through towns like Tehri, Srinagar & Rudraprayag. Stop to view the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers at Rudraprayag. Reach Guptkashi in the evening. Overnight in hotel in Guptkashi.

DAY 08: Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath

Early morning check out from the hotel and depart for Gaurikund (76 kms) from where, you will start your 14 kms trek to Kedarnath. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (at own cost). With rare flowers and streams on the Kedarnath route, you are just walking from one picture postcard to another. The path is almost ethereal, and unlike many other so-called holy places, one does feel some ancient divinity residing in this frigid dreamscape. Probably there is a reason why they call it the abode of the gods. On reaching Kedarnath, check into your hotel.

One of the holiest Hindu pilgrim sites dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kedarnath Temple is perched at an altitude of 3,584 meters amidst towering snow-clad Himalayan peaks on the head of river Mandakini. The original temple is said to have been built by the Pandavas to atone for their sins procured during the Kurukshetra war of Mahabharata. The present temple was reconstructed by Adi Sankaracharya in the 8th century. One of the 12 Shiva-Jyotirlingas resides in this temple.

Overnight in Kedarnath.

DAY 09: Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Guptkashi
You get up before dawn for an audience with Kedarnath Shiva. Aftervisiting the temple return to the hotel for breakfast. Checking out of the hotel, you’ll start the return trek of 14 kms from Kedarnath to Gaurikund by about 8:30 am. On reaching Gaurikund by about 2 pm drive back to Guptkashi in the vehicles that have been waiting for you. Overnight at the hotel in Guptkashi.

DAY 10: Guptkash - Badrinath

This morning, after an early breakfast, you check out of the hotel at 7.30 am and drive to Badrinath (165 kms - 6 to 7 hrs) via Joshimath. After driving through some wonderful ghat road and probably a couple of landslides you arrive at Badrinath by 2:30 pm. Check into the hotel. After some rest and refreshments you are all set to visit Badrinath Temple in the evening.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinathji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Legend dates the temple prior to the Vedic age, though the present temple is believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya, the 8th century A.D., Hindu reformist. The temple has been renovated several times due to earlier damages by avalanches and looks modern now with a colorful "Singh Dwara" or the main entrance gate. After the visit, return back to the hotel or visit the town and shop around. Overnight in Badrinath.

DAY 11: Badrinath

This morning, after another visit to the temple, proceed to visit Mana village which is the last village on the Indo-Tibet (China) border. Though a small and segregated village it is popular among tourists because of natural beauty of surroundings and exquisite carpets, blankets, and colorful jerseys knitted by local women. Visit the Veda Vyas Gufa where Veda Vyas supposedly resided and dictated the whole of Mahabharat to Ganesha.

Return back to Badrinath. Overnight in Badrinath.

DAY 12: Badrinath - Auli - Srinagar
Leave early morning for Srinagar & arrive by late evening. On the way visit Auli. A compact and naturally landscaped mass of not more than 7 kms in all, Auli nestles high up on the magnificent Himalayan ranges in the Garwal area of Uttarkhand. At a height of 10,000 ft above mean sea level, the destination offers commanding views of the surrounding ranges, which soar to heights of 23,000 ft.

Reach Srinager in the evening. Overnight in Srinagar.

DAY 13: Srinagar - Rishikesh - Haridwar

After an early breakfast, proceed to Haridwar. En route stop over at Rishikesh. Visit the Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Proceed to Haridwar. Overnight in Haridwar.

DAY 14: Haridwar - Delhi

This morning, after aholy dip in the Ganges, proceed to Delhi. On arrival transfer to Airport/Railway Station.
